Lacq, Mourenx, Pardies and Mont are CHEMPARC’s four industrial platforms. As well as natural gas, companies installed at CHEMPARC can benefit from a wide range of raw materials. Many of these are stocked on site or delivered by pipeline (liquid and solid sulfur, chlorine, ammonia, methanol, many up-stream thiochemical products,…). All utilities (electricity, steam, nitrogen, coolant water, compressed air…) can be supplied. In addition, CHEMPARC can collect and destroy liquid and gaseous wastes (physico-chemical treatment, biodegradation, incineration…). Following a closely controlled procedure, the disused gas-well, known as Crétacé 4000, situated 4000 metres below ground level, can now be used to stock alkaline saline wastes which cannot be destroyed.*

SOBEGI (Société Béarnaise de Gestion Industrielle) supplies the major part of the shared-cost services. Created in 1975 on the initiative of the Elf Aquitaine Group, SOBEGI is rightly proud of its long experience. Much more than a concept, it is now a well-proven organisation. Over the last 30 years this industrial structure has attracted 8 companies today operating on-site in the fine and speciality chemicals sectors. SOBEGI proposes an extensive list of shared services offered at optimised costs together with a significant saving on capital investments. The overall economy is close to 25%. SOBEGI has held the ISO 9001 quality certification since 1997, and ISO 14001 environmental certification since 1999. Over the last two years, SOBEGI has extended the services that it offers to other CHEMPARC sites.
Today, 14 leading international chemical groups (Celanese – Air Liquide – Arkema – Arysta Lifescience – Cerexagri – Chimex – Novasep Finorga – Lubrizol – Sanofi Aventis – SBS – Soficar – Speichim Processing – Synthelabo Tanabe – Yara France) have demonstrated their confidence by building industrial plants in the heart of CHEMPARC. The complex now has 4000 people directly employed, with 4000 more, indirectly employed in associated service companies.
Turn-key solutions of the highest quality
Safety: no detail is neglected in this essential aspect of the CHEMPARC offer. As well as being classified SEVESO II (the highest European classification for producing and storing potentially hazardous products), the sites of Lacq, Mourenx, Pardies and Mont all have a strong tradition and long experience of safety. This includes safety management, approvals, specialised training, and the qualifications of both their own employees and those of their sub-contractors.
All maintenance and engineering specialities are also available.
In addition, CHEMPARC has control laboratories available capable of verifying the quality of incoming or purchased materials and of finished products.
Other services available, at the investor’s request, include accountancy, pay management and logistics.
